Tinted glass is also produced by the float process with small quantities of metal oxides added to the normal clear composition to create the desired colour.

TINTED FLOAT GLASS is a range of uncoated body-tinted glasses, with low light reflection and high energy absorption. The glass come in different colours: Blue, Ford Blue, Ocean Blue, F-Green, Dark Green, Euro Bronze, Golden Bronze, Euro Grey, Dark Grey, Pink.

Tinted float glass has excellent solar control properties. The transmittance of visible and infrared light is adjusted. Meanwhile, those rich and pure colors may meet the requriment by various building styles .

They also can  be used with Low-E,self-cleaning glass.

The products are particularly suitable for applications that demand solar control without the use of surface coating, for residential or commercial applications. To achieve thermal insulation, the products have to be combined with a low-emissivity glass in an insulating glass unit

The color density increases with thickness, whereas the visible transmittance decreases correspondingly as thickness increases.

• Addition of color does not affect the basic properties of the glass, even though visible light reflectance will be slightly higher than clear glass. The color density increases with thickness, whereas the visible transmittance decreases correspondingly as thickness increases.

•  Tinted glass is distortion-free, precision flat and transparent glass. It is manufactured by floating a ribbon of molten glass over a bath of molten metal. The ribbon is gradually cooled in an annealing lehr, and then washed and cut into the desired sizes.
